Worship & Music
Worship & Music
Our weekend worship gathering provides an opportunity for you to connect to God. Using contemporary and classic worship styles, our multi-sensory worship experience relates God’s truths in a manner which helps people express their love to God.
You may dress as comfortably as you desire as you attempt to seriously offer your worship to God. Join us Sundays at 10:30 AM.
At our weekly Wednesday night worship and prayer service, we celebrate and seek God’s guidance for our life together as a family of Christ-followers. Join us on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM.
The Worship Team involves vocals and instruments to enhance our worship services. This group rehearses once a week on Wednesday nights and enjoys trying out new sounds. If you have an interest in joining, please contact us.
A note from our Associate Pastor of Worship
Worship is the priority we place on who God is in our lives and where God is on our list of priorities. At Candlewyck, our music is not our worship, but a means of expression that God is our first priority. Every week our praise team leads us to set God as our first priority with prayer, voice, stringed instruments, and the spoken word. So come celebrate with us as we worship with contemporary Christian music and modern hymns.
– Jim Wood
Our small groups are designed to be the “delivery system” for accomplishing the purposes of the church (mission, worship, community, and discipleship). With mission as their organizing principle, our small groups meet on Sunday mornings at 9:15 and at other times during the week, with a group for every age.
In addition to our regular small groups, we often offer special small groups that meet for a limited amount of time, for the purpose of studying a particular topic, or mission activity.
Since every small group is unique in how they do things, you may contact us to request more information on any of our small group ministry.
Expect the unexpected! That’s a good theme for our student ministry!!
On Sunday morning in small group, we focus on helping students build strong foundations for living as followers of Jesus Christ. On Wednesday nights, our student ministry group gathers for a time of fun, learning, and growing in Christ as well. You never know what is going to happen, in the lesson or in the activities, to help the students learn and have an authentic relationship with Jesus.
But, that’s not all – our group does its best to make an impact for Christ in our community and in our everyday lives. We typically have an outing every month where we do just that. During these times, we serve, connect with one another, and are on mission with Christ in our community.
Always come, just as you are; ready for a fun, exciting time of discovering what being a follower of Jesus is all about. Expect the unexpected!

General Bible Study
Join us every week as we explore different aspects of God’s word. We’ll study a variety of topics to help strengthen your faith and keep you on a Christian path during the week. You’ll be able to take what you learn in study and apply it to your personal life and your daily devotionals.
Monday Evening: 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! In this seven session bible study, Priscilla redefines interruption and shows that interruption is actually God’s invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city.
This is a seven session class beginning April 4th. You will have two opportunities each week to participate.
Wednesday Morning: 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Wednesday Evening: 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM

Our seniors are a vital part of our ministry at Candlewyck through the PLUS Club (Peppy Loving Upbeat Seniors). This group meets the third Thursday of the month for lunch at area restaurants for fellowship, encouragement, and support.
PLUS Club was first established in 1996 by one of Candlewyck’s pillars, Betty Wood. The group began with only six members and has since grown to more than 20 members who motivate, inspire, and support each other as well as those around them.
